De Dam tot Dam loop is inmiddels een waar begrip geworden in Nederland en omstreken. In het weekend van 20 en 21 september 2014 is het dan ook alweer tijd voor de 30e editie van dit prachtevenement, waar maarliefst 65.000 lopers aan mee kunnen doen! Deze populariteit brengt helaas ook wat consequenties met zich mee.. Namelijk wachtrijen van hier tot Tokio! Vanaf vanochtend 09.00 uur voor de businessloop, en vanaf 11.30 uur voor de recreanten, konden de deelnemers zich inschrijven voor de 10EM of de 4EM, met als gevolg wachtrijen van meer dan een uur, en zelfs een hoop teleurgestelde lopers die helaas geen kaartje konden bemachtigen. Ben jij één van de gelukkige lopers, of juist de pechvogel?
Met een parcours dat ons door het centrum van Amsterdam en het centrum van Zaandam leidt, is het elk jaar weer een loop om nooit te vergeten. Direct na de start worden de lopers al gelijk op de proef gesteld met een route die recht door de warme, en verschrikkelijk drukke ijtunnel gaat. Onderweg zijn er overal langs de kant toeschouwers, cafés, muziektentjes, en vooral héél veel gezelligheid te vinden. Je zult je gegarandeerd niet vervelen tijdens deze loop! Het parcours eindigt via de altijd zo gezellige Zuiddijk en de Dam naar de finish op de Peperstraat in Zaandam. En nu is het ook voor jou zover. Ben jij een van de gelukkigen die een startbewijs heeft weten te bemachtigen?
In dat geval betekent dat dat jij over 5 maanden, 2 weken en één dag de uitdaging aangaat met jezelf en hopelijk een mooie prestatie neer mag gaan zetten. Misschien wordt dit al je zoveelste keer dat je meedoet, maar als dit je eerste keer is zullen de nodige zenuwen vast aanwezig zijn. Voor mij wordt dit nu officieel de tweede keer dat ik hem loop, en ik moet toegeven dat dit ook weer aardig wat zenuwen met zich meebrengt. Waarom? Nou, omdat het nét na de zomervakantie plaatsvindt. Vorig jaar zorgde dit voor een hoop narigheid… Na een zomer lang alleen maar 5 kilometer rondjes door Spanje gerend te hebben zorgde de 16 kilometer voor een flinke klap en eindigde ik met een overbelaste kniepees. Een paar weken niet hardlopen en weer vanaf het begin opbouwen was het gevolg, en dan kwam ik er nog relatief gunstig mee weg. Dit jaar echter, ben ik het van plan heel anders aan te pakken. Dit jaar ga ik goed voorbereid meedoen, enRun2day gaat jou en mij daarbij helpen. Hoe?
Run2day heeft speciaal voor zowel beginnende als ervaren hardloper een schema opgezet dat je op weg helpt naar de grote dag. De hardloopschema’s zijn beschikbaar voor de 4EM en de 10EM, elk onderverdeeld in weer verschillende eindtijden. Of jouw doel nou 4EM in 45 minuten is, of de 10EM onder de 50 minuten, voor ieder is er wat wils. Zelf ben ik nog niet helemaal zeker voor welk trainingsdoel ik ga, maar één ding weet ik wel: gezien mijn ervaring van vorig jaar heb ik een vast trainingschema zeker nodig.
